Sir Donald
Mount Sir Donald rises to 3,284 m (10,774 ft) above Rogers Pass in Glacier National Park, its sharp pyramid a landmark of the Selkirk Mountains. Major A. B. Rogers' survey party, scouting a line for the transcontinental railway in 1881, called it Syndicate Peak after the financiers backing the Canadian Pacific. In 1885 it was renamed for Sir Donald A. Smith, head of that syndicate and later Lord Strathcona, who that November drove the railway's last spike at Craigellachie. Swiss climbers Emil Huber and Carl Sulzer, with porter Harry Cooper, made the first ascent in 1890, and by the 1910s a handful of parties were reaching the top each year. Good rock and a clean, Matterhorn-like form still make it a sought-after objective, and its Northwest Arête is counted among the Fifty Classic Climbs of North America.

Our solid hardwood cribbage boards are modeled with actual topographic data to capture any place on earth. Each board has a storage space for three sets of metal pegs behind a custom-etched stainless steel door. Boards measure roughly 350mm (13.5”) long by 190mm (7.5") wide by 90mm (3.5”) tall and are finished with tung oil for durability and a slight sheen. Additional options include a custom message or logo etched on the stainless steel door tag (32 characters max, +$10), and an engraved name, message or logo on the side or underside of the board (+$20 standard, +$40 with a contrasting filler). Side and underside engraving is sized to fit the board, typically no taller than 1 inch (25 mm). For a logo, send us a PNG through our contact form after you order, with your order number.
Our products are designed, crafted, and finished in Alberta, Canada.
Disclaimer: Because we use solid hardwood, some boards may have natural imperfections.
